Description

The project was developed by Grupo Empresarial San Jose, SolarPack Corporacion Tecnologica and X-ELIO Energy. SolarPack Corporacion Tecnologica and Ardian Infrastructure are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Tacna Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 121 hectares.

The project generates 47,196MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 14,915 households, offsetting 34,006t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2012.

Contractors involved

Yingli Green Energy Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 74,988 modules each with 290W of nameplate capacity.

GPTech Spain supplied its PV500 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Solar Steel Gonvarri Industries.

SolarPack Corporacion Tecnologica and X-ELIO Energy were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
