The Tanjung Jati A Coal Fired Power plant is 1,320MW coal fired power project. It is planned in West Java, Indonesia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in January 2024.

Description

The project is being developed by PT Tanjung Jati Power. YTL and PT Bakrie & Brothers are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.

It is a steam turbine power plant.

The project cost is expected to be around $2,700m.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by January 2024.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement for a period of 30 years.

Contractors Involved

Samsung C&T is expected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.
