The project generates 250,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 27,000 households, offsetting 145,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $99.562m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Meridian Energy under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 28 units of SWT-2.3-101 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 2 years.
