Description

The project is currently owned by Termocandelaria.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of liquefied natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Cartagena LNG Terminal.

K&M Engineering and Consulting and Siemens Energy were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of SGT6-5000F turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.
