Thailand NPP9 Biomass Power Plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) project. Wood chips which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project got commissioned in June 2016.

Contractors involved

China Datang Technologies & Engineering and SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Harbin Electric was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.

Tsinghua University supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 384TPH.
