Description

The project was developed by Three Gorges New Energy Yancheng Dafeng.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 900,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 370,000 households, offsetting 760,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $811.114m.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2021.

Contractors Involved

Shanghai Survey and Design Institute and Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology were selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Farm Project (Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Farm Project Phase I) is equipped with Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology GW155/4500kW turbines. The phase consists of 38 turbines with 4.5MW nameplate capacity.

Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Farm Project (Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Dafeng H8-2 Offshore Wind Farm Project Phase II) is equipped with Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology GW 171/6450 turbines. The phase consists of 20 turbines with 6.45MW nameplate capacity.
