Tishrin is a 630MW hydro power project. It is located on Euphrates river/basin in Aleppo, Syria. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1993 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1999.

Description

The project was developed by Technopromexport and is currently owned by Ministry of Electricity, Syria.

Tishrin is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,900 million cubic meter. The project generated 1,600 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $300m.

The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by DEC Dongfang Electric Machinery and Global Hydro Energy.
