Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction.

Tiuni Plasu is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 67m and 63m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock length will be 110m. The penstock diameter will be 4m. The project is expected to generate 293.9 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $127.603m.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 24MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.
