Tongzilin is a 600MW hydro power project. It is located on Yalong river/basin in Sichuan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2010 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2015.

Description

The project was developed by Yalongjiang Hydropower Development. SDIC Electric Power and Sichuan Chuantou Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 52% and 48% respectively.

Tongzilin is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 91.2 million cubic meter. The project generated 2,975 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $834.593m.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2010 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2015.

Contractors Involved

DEC Dongfang Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 turbines, each with 150MW nameplate capacity.
