The project is developed and owned by North Eastern Electric Power.
Tuirial is a reservoir based project. The gross head and net head of the project are 59.8m and 53m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock length is 176m. The penstock diameter is 3.8m. The project generated 250.63 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $208.507m.

Contractors Involved
Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 30MW nameplate capacity.
Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 34 MVA.
