The project was developed by Estuary Capital Partners, Greenbacker Renewable Energy and Sumitomo Corporation of America. The project is currently owned by Greenbacker Renewable Energy.
Turquoise Solar Energy Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 180 acres.
The project generates 140,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 9,300 households, offsetting 80,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $60m.
The project consists of 156,000 modules, each with 390W nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2020.
Power Purchase Agreement
Liberty Utilities (Canada) and Sierra Pacific Power are the power offtakers from the project.
Contractors Involved
McCarthy Building Companies was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Cypress Creek Renewables is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
