Description
The project is developed by BP Solar International and Metlife Capital Limited Partnership. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 200 acres.
The project generates 44,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 4,500 households. The project cost is $170.035m.
The project consists of 164,312 modules.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in November 2011.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Long Island Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2011.

Hawkeye was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
