Description
Abu Dhabi National Energy, Engie and JERA are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 20% and 20% respectively.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel is procured from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
The project cost is $2,100m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in July 2007.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Emirates Water and Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 1,691MW.
Contractors Involved
Mitsui and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions.
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied steam boiler for the project.
ITM O&M is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
