Ust-Khantaiskaya is a 511MW hydro power project. It is located on Khantaika river/basin in Murmansk, Russia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1975.

The net head of the project is 45.8m. Ust-Khantaiskaya (Rehabilitated Unit (unit 7)) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2021.Ust-Khantaiskaya (Rehabilitated Units(1- 6)) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2015-2020.Ust-Khantaiskaya underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2015-2021.

Contractors Involved

CKD Blansko Holding was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The project consists of 7 units of Francis turbines, each with 73MW nameplate capacity.

NPO Elsib supplied 1 electric generator for the Ust-Khantaiskaya (Rehabilitated Unit (unit 7)). The generator capacity is 74.12 MVA.

NPO Elsib supplied 6 electric generators for the Ust-Khantaiskaya (Rehabilitated Units(1- 6)). The generator capacity is 74.12 MVA.
