Wang Noi Power Plant is a 2,812.71MW gas fired power project. It is located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1997.

Description

The project is currently owned by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand with a stake of 100%.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Gulf of Thailand and Myanmar.

The project got commissioned in 1997.

Marubeni and Siemens were selected to render EPC services for the Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block IV).

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 205.44MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power M701F gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 223.37MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block II) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 205.44MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block II) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power M701F gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 223.37MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block III) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 256.79MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block III) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power M701F gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 232.98MW nameplate capacity.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block IV) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines.

Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block IV) is equipped with Siemens SST5-5000 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine.

Siemens supplied SGen-1000A electric generator for the Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block IV).

Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block I).

Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the Wang Noi Power Plant (Wang Noi Power Plant Block II).
