Wawa is a 500MW hydro power project. It is planned on Wawa,Montalban river/basin in Calabarzon, Philippines. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Description
The project is being developed by Olympia Violago Water & Power. San Lorenzo Ruiz Builders & Developers Group and Vena Energy are currently owning the project.
Wawa is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 6.2 million cubic meter. The project cost is expected to be around $1,000m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 167MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.
Contractors Involved
Power Construction Corporation of China is expected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.
