Weesow-Willmersdorf Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 164 hectares.
The project generates 180,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 129,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $218.574m.
The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2021.
Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 465,000 modules each with 410W of nameplate capacity.
Sungrow Deutschland supplied 42 of its SG3125HV inverters to the project site.
