Description

The project was developed by Eni New Energy US, Falck Renewables North America, Savion and TradeWind Energy. Falck Renewables North America and Eni New Energy US are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Westmoreland County Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 161 acres.

The project generates 50GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 4,700 households, offsetting 33,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $35m.

The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in October 2021.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Dominion Energy under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 20MW.
