Wunonglong is a 990MW hydro power project. It is located on Lan Cang river/basin in Yunnan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase.

The project was developed by Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower. China Huaneng Group, Jinsha River Hydropower Development and Yunnan Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 56%, 31.4% and 12.6% respectively.

Wunonglong is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 272 million cubic meter. The project generated 4,460 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 330MW nameplate capacity.

The project has 3 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 330 MVA.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.
