The project was developed by Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower. China Huaneng Group, Jinsha River Hydropower Development and Yunnan Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 56%, 31.4% and 12.6% respectively.
Wunonglong is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 272 million cubic meter. The project generated 4,460 GWh of electricity.
