Yamula is a 100MW hydro power project. It is located on Kizilirmak river/basin in Kayseri, Turkey. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2005.

Description

The project was developed by Ayen Enerji and is currently owned by Kayseri Elektrik Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret of Ankara.

Yamula is a reservoir based project. The gross head of the project is 105.53m. The penstock length is 215m. The penstock diameter is 5m. The project generated 422 GWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2005.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 59 MVA.
