Description
The project is developed and owned by Korea South-East Power.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is bituminous. In case of shortage of bituminous the plant can also run on Diesel.

The project got commissioned in March 1975.

POSCO Engineering & Construction was selected to render EPC services for the Yeosu Power Plant (Yeosu Power Plant Unit I).
Yeosu Power Plant (Yeosu Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction TC4F-30 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 340MW nameplate capacity.
Yeosu Power Plant (Yeosu Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries TC4R-25 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 328.6MW nameplate capacity.
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied Hydrogen cooled electric generator for the Yeosu Power Plant (Yeosu Power Plant Unit I).
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries supplied Hydrogen cooled electric generator for the Yeosu Power Plant (Yeosu Power Plant Unit II).
