The project is currently owned by New and Renewable Energy Authority with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 1,287,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 648,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The Zafarana (Zafarana 6), has 55m high towers.

Nordex was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Zafarana (Zafarana 1) is equipped with Nordex N43 (600 kW) turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines with 0.6MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 2) is equipped with Nordex N43 (600 kW) turbines. The phase consists of 55 turbines with 0.6MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 3) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V47-660 kW turbines. The phase consists of 46 turbines with 0.66MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 4) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V47-660 kW turbines. The phase consists of 71 turbines with 0.66MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 5) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G52-850 kW turbines. The phase consists of 100 turbines with 0.85MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 6) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G52-850 kW turbines. The phase consists of 94 turbines with 0.85MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 7-I) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G52-850 kW turbines. The phase consists of 64 turbines with 0.85MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafarana 7-II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G52-850 kW turbines. The phase consists of 77 turbines with 0.85MW nameplate capacity.
Zafarana (Zafaranan 8) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G52-850 kW turbines. The phase consists of 141 turbines with 0.85MW nameplate capacity.
