The project is currently owned by Shanxi Zhaoguang Power Generating with a stake of 100%.
It is a steam turbine power plant that is used for Baseload.

The Coal fired project have been supplied by Dongfang Turbine and Shanghai Electric Group.
Shanghai Boiler Works supplied steam boiler for the Zhaoguang Power Plant (Zhaoguang Power Plant Phase II Unit I).
