Canadian Solar has secured a contract to provide engineering, procurement and constructions (EPC) services and supply solar modules for the 333MWp / 275MWac Darlington Point Solar Farm in New South Wales, Australia.

The firm was chosen by Edify Energy and Octopus Investments and requires it to partner with Signal Energy for the development.  Signal Energy will construct the project.

Development of the Darlington Point Solar Farm will begin in March.

It will feature more than 820,000 Canadian Solar HiKu modules (CS3W-P), each unit with an average of over 400W.

The PV modules will be installed on single-axis solar tracking systems covering 2,000 acres.

The project is slated for completion in early 2020. Once operational, it is expected to  generate enough power to meet the requirements of more than 115,000 homes in New South Wales. In addition, it will annually eliminate almost 600,000t of carbon dioxide emissions.
