Fujian Xiamen Pumped Storage (Xiamen) has awarded a contract to Voith for delivering hydropower technology to the 1.4GW Xiamen pumped storage plant in China.
Voith will supply four 35MW reversible pump turbines and generators, along with auxiliary equipment, for the Xiamen plant, as part of the agreement.
Based in Germany, Voith is engaged in the supply of equipment and hydropower technology, while Xiamen is a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China.
Aviva Investors has reached an agreement with Orsted for providing £400m ($450.8m) financing required for the construction of the Hornsea 1 offshore wind farm in the UK.
Aviva has invested the amount in fixed-rate and inflation-linked bonds as part of the agreement.
