Mitsubishi Power and Entergy have signed a joint development agreement to bring decarbonisation projects to Entergy’s US utility businesses.

The agreement will cover businesses in Arkansas, Louisiana, including a separate jurisdiction of New Orleans, Mississippi and Texas.

Additionally, the companies aim to work together to develop technology solutions to minimise Entergy’s carbon emissions from electric power generation.

The companies will focus on the development of hydrogen-capable gas turbine combined-cycle facilities, as well as green hydrogen production, storage, and transportation facilities.

Additionally, they will aim to create nuclear-supplied electrolysis facilities with energy storage, and develop utility-scale battery storage systems.
