Global solar equipment supplier Sonnedix’s Japanese operator Nippon Solar Services (NSS) has collaborated with GSSG Solar to develop a 170MW portfolio of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Japan.

Of the total 170MW portfolio, 47MW is currently under construction, while the rest is still under development.

GSSG Solar's chief executive officer (CEO) Tomakin Archambault said: “GSSG remains fully committed to this portfolio of projects alongside the Sonnedix team.

NSS and GSSG Solar have formed a joint development framework to finalise development and construction of the solar PV projects.

With the new solar projects in Japan, Sonnedix will have a total installed capacity of more than 1GW, with approximately 500MW currently operating and over 500MW under development and construction.
