There were 65 generation equipment tenders announced in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2019, marking a drop of 38% over the last 12-month average of 105, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2019 with 222 tenders and a 51.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 79 tenders and an 18.2% share and Generation Equipment with 65 tenders and a 15% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 46 tenders and a 70.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 29.2% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in September 2019
