Asia-Pacific power plant tenders activity down 36% in November 2019

There were 58 power plant tenders announced in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2019, marking a drop of 36% over the last 12-month average of 91, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2019 with 357 tenders and a 57.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 104 tenders and a 16.7% share and Generation Equipment with 93 tenders and a 14.9% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 45 tenders and a 77.6% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: eight tenders and a 13.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: five tenders and an 8.6% share.

Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific power plant tenders in November 2019

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
