Asia-Pacific solar technology tenders in December 2020 saw 47 tenders announced, marking a drop of 36% over the last 12-month average of 73, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

India tops Asia-Pacific solar power tenders activity

India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology tenders recorded in December 2020 with 27 tenders and a 57.4% share, followed by Australia with six tenders and a 12.8% share and Pakistan with five tenders and a 10.6% share.

Asia-Pacific solar technology tenders in December 2020: Top issuers by capacity

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Andhra Pradesh Green Energy: 8,500MW from one tender
  2. Bangalore Electricity Supply (India): 1,060MW from one tender
  3. Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (India), Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (India) and Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (India): 100MW capacity from one tender.
