Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders activity up 15% in November 2020

There were 142 T&D equipment tenders announced in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2020, marking a rise of 15% over the last 12-month average of 124, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2020 with 142 tenders and a 40.3% share, followed by T&D Project with 105 tenders and a 29.8% share and Power Plant with 59 tenders and a 16.8% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 119 tenders and an 83.8% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 21 tenders and a 14.8% share
3. Project Implementation: two tenders and a 1.4% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in November 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 12 tenders with an 80% share, followed by hydro with three tenders and a 20% share.
