Asia-Pacific T&D project tenders activity down 19% in Q1 2020

There were 737 T&D project tenders announced in the Asia-Pacific region in Q1 2020, marking a drop of 19% over the last 12-month average of 915, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q1 2020 with 737 tenders and a 49.9% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 335 tenders and a 22.7% share and Power Plant with 193 tenders and a 13.1% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 605 tenders and an 82.1% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 123 tenders and a 16.7% share
