Oil and gas companies are making moves into the UK energy market.

There were 23 generation equipment tenders announced in the Europe region in November 2019, marking a rise of 28% over the last 12-month average of 18, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in November 2019 with 30 tenders and a 34.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 23 tenders and a 26.1% share and T&D Equipment with 22 tenders and a 25% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 11 tenders and a 47.8% share
  2. Supply & Erection: 11 tenders and a 47.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 4.3% share.

Thermal is top technology for Europe generation equipment tenders in November 2019

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, thermal accounted for nine tenders with a 40.9% share, followed by nuclear with six tenders and a 27.3% share and solar with three tenders and a 13.6% share.
