Europe power industry tenders activity in June 2020 saw 93 tenders announced, marking a rise of 15% over the last 12-month average of 81, according to GlobalData’s power database.

Europe power industry tenders in June 2020: Poland leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Poland led the activity in June 2020 with 23 tenders and a share of 24.7%, down 5.9% over the previous month and down 26% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by France with 13 tenders and a share of 14% and Germany with 11 tenders and a share of 11.8% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Poland held the top spot with 31 tenders, followed by Germany with seven and France with three tenders.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in June 2020
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 20 tenders and a 40.8% share, followed by hydro with seven tenders and a 14.3% share and nuclear with seven tenders and a 14.3% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Project was the most popular segment in June 2020, with 28 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (24) and Power Plant (18).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 38 tenders and a 40.9% share
- Supply & Erection: 30 tenders and a 32.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 14 tenders and a 15.1% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: four tenders and a 4.3% share
- Electricity Supply: three tenders and a 3.2% share
- Others: three tenders and a 3.2% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 1.1% share.
Power tenders in June 2020: Top issuers by capacity
The top issuer of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe was:Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund with 200MW from one tender.
