Europe solar technology tenders in August 2020 saw 23 tenders announced, marking a rise of 109% over the last 12-month average of 11, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 16 tenders and a 69.6% share
  2. Supply & Erection: five tenders and a 21.7% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 4.3% share
  4. Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 4.3% share.

Poland tops Europe solar power tenders activity

Poland was the top country in the Europe region for solar technology tenders recorded in August 2020 with seven tenders and a 30.4% share, followed by the UK with four tenders and a 17.4% share and Turkey with one tender and a 4.3% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Europe were:

  1. Ministry of Climate (Poland): 3,200MW from one tender
  2. Hrvatski Operator Trzista Energije (Croatia): 88MW from one tender
  3. Arkadikos Ilios Ena: 50MW capacity from one tender.
