Europe T&D project tenders activity down 4% in Q4 2020

There were 72 T&D project tenders announced in the Europe region in Q4 2020, marking a drop of 4% over the last four-quarter average of 75, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in Q4 2020 with 87 tenders and a 29% share, followed by T&D Project with 72 tenders and a 24% share and Power Plant with 69 tenders and a 23% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

1. Project Implementation: 54 tenders and a 75% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: nine tenders and a 12.5% share
3. Consulting & Similar Services: eight tenders and an 11.1% share
4. Supply & Erection: one tender and a 1.4% share.

Solar is top technology for Europe T&D project tenders in Q4 2020

Looking at T&D project tenders by the type of technology in the Europe region, solar accounted for one tender with a 50% share, followed by wind with one tender and a 50% share.
