Middle East and Africa power plant tenders activity up 5% in Q1 2020

There were 40 power plant tenders announced in the Middle East and Africa region in Q1 2020, marking a rise of 5% over the last 12-month average of 38, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q1 2020 with 40 tenders and a 29.2% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 37 tenders and a 27% share and T&D Project with 36 tenders and a 26.3% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 24 tenders and a 60% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: 11 tenders and a 27.5% share
