Middle East and Africa power plant tenders activity down 31% in Q4 2019

There were 29 power plant tenders announced in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2019, marking a drop of 31% over the last 12-month average of 42, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2019 with 147 tenders and a 42.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 104 tenders and a 30% share and Generation Equipment with 36 tenders and a 10.4% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 20 tenders and a 69% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: nine tenders and a 31% share.

Solar is top technology for Middle East and Africa power plant tenders in Q4 2019
