Middle East and Africa power plant tenders activity up 97% in Q4 2020

There were 77 power plant tenders announced in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2020, marking a rise of 97% over the last four-quarter average of 39, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2020 with 77 tenders and a 35.5% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 56 tenders and a 25.8% share and Generation Equipment with 46 tenders and a 21.2% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
