Middle East and Africa smart grid tenders activity up 22% in Q4 2019

There were 22 smart grid tenders announced in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2019, marking a rise of 22% over the last 12-month average of 18, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q4 2019 with 147 tenders and a 42.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 104 tenders and a 30% share and Generation Equipment with 36 tenders and a 10.4% share during the quarter.
