Middle East and Africa T&D equipment tenders activity up 28% in November 2020
Oil and gas companies are making moves into the UK energy market.

There were 23 T&D equipment tenders announced in the Middle East and Africa region in November 2020, marking a rise of 28% over the last 12-month average of 18, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in November 2020 with 31 tenders and a 34.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 23 tenders and a 25.3% share and T&D Equipment with 23 tenders and a 25.3% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 20 tenders and an 87% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three tenders and a 13% share.

Nuclear is top technology for Middle East and Africa T&D equipment tenders in November 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Middle East and Africa region, nuclear accounted for one tender with a 50% share, followed by solar with one tender and a 50% share.
