North America generation equipment tenders activity up 5% in February 2020

There were 63 generation equipment tenders announced in the North America region in February 2020, marking a rise of 5% over the last 12-month average of 60, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in February 2020 with 65 tenders and a 39.2% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 63 tenders and a 38% share and Energy Storage with 17 tenders and a 10.2% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 38 tenders and a 60.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 23 tenders and a 36.5% share
