North America generation equipment tenders activity down 37% in March 2020

There were 39 generation equipment tenders announced in the North America region in March 2020, marking a drop of 37% over the last 12-month average of 62, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in March 2020 with 107 tenders and a 59.4% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 39 tenders and a 21.7% share and Power Plant with 16 tenders and an 8.9% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 23 tenders and a 59% share
