North America generation equipment tenders activity up 86% in Q3 2020

There were 307 generation equipment tenders announced in the North America region in Q3 2020, marking a rise of 86% over the last 12-month average of 165, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q3 2020 with 318 tenders and a 42.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 307 tenders and a 41.3% share and Power Plant with 44 tenders and a 5.9% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 199 tenders and a 64.8% share
