North America generation equipment tenders activity down 1% in Q4 2019

There were 165 generation equipment tenders announced in the North America region in Q4 2019, marking a drop of 1% over the last 12-month average of 166, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q4 2019 with 165 tenders and a 43% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 135 tenders and a 35.2% share and Energy Storage with 48 tenders and a 12.5% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 90 tenders and a 54.5% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 73 tenders and a 44.2% share
