North America power industry tenders activity in October 2019 saw 100 tenders announced, marking a drop of 28% over the last 12-month average of 139, according to GlobalData’s power database.

Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in October 2019 with 74 tenders and a share of 74%, up 8.9% over the previous month and down 28% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Canada with 26 tenders and a share of 26%.
Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 103 tenders, followed by Canada with 36.

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 39 tenders and a 90.7% share, followed by solar with three tenders and a 7% share and wind with one tender and a 2.3% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in October 2019, with 46 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (38) and Energy Storage (10).
