Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in Q4 2020 with 527 tenders and a share of 84.2%, down 1.7% over the previous quarter and up 10% when compared with the last four-quarter average, followed by Canada with 99 tenders and a share of 15.8%.
Looking at the last four-quarter average, the US held the top spot with 477 tenders, followed by Canada with 99 and Mexico with one tender.

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 220 tenders and a 77.7% share, followed by solar with 49 tenders and a 17.3% share and wind with seven tenders and a 2.5% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in North America power tenders activity during Q4 2020, with 282 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (222) and Energy Storage (46).
