North America solar technology tenders in Q3 2020 saw 51 tenders announced, marking a rise of 55% over the last four-quarter average of 33, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 35 tenders and a 68.6% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: six tenders and an 11.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: five tenders and a 9.8% share
  4. Supply & Erection: three tenders and a 5.9% share
  5. Electricity Supply: one tender and a 2% share

The US tops North America solar power tenders activity

The US was the top country in the North America region for solar technology tenders recorded in Q3 2020 with 43 tenders and an 84.3% share, followed by Canada with eight tenders and a 15.7% share.

The top issuers of tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in North America were:
