North America T&D equipment tenders activity up 27% in February 2020
Oil and gas companies are making moves into the UK energy market.

There were 65 T&D equipment tenders announced in the North America region in February 2020, marking a rise of 27% over the last 12-month average of 51, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in February 2020 with 65 tenders and a 39.2% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 63 tenders and a 38% share and Energy Storage with 17 tenders and a 10.2% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 64 tenders and a 98.5% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one tender and a 1.5% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in February 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for two tenders with a 100% share.
