North America T&D equipment tenders activity up 68% in Q1 2020

There were 250 T&D equipment tenders announced in the North America region in Q1 2020, marking a rise of 68% over the last 12-month average of 149, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q1 2020 with 250 tenders and a 48.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 159 tenders and a 30.9% share and Energy Storage with 44 tenders and an 8.6% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 242 tenders and a 96.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven tenders and a 2.8% share
